I joined Omnia Inclusive in May 2022 after running my own business for a few years. I was ready for a change and wanted to focus on something more meaningful – supporting young people to achieve their dreams and aspirations. With a BA (Hons) in Fine Art (minor in Psychology), a Mental Health Diploma, and Art Therapy Practitioner certification, I was excited to bring my skills to a new role. Omnia Inclusive stood out to me because it offered the opportunity to use my expertise while working for an organisation that shares my passion for creating a more inclusive community.
What I love about working at Omnia Inclusive is the opportunity to work across different locations and connect with a diverse range of participants, each with unique goals and aspirations. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness their growth in confidence as they achieve milestones like securing their first work placement or job, passing their driver’s test, or making new friends. The experiences I’ve had at Omnia Inclusive have helped me grow professionally while being part of a team that shares a passion for creating positive change and celebrating each participant’s success.
That is simple, the best part of my job is the positive energy and determination that the participants bring to the office and their willingness and drive to have an opportunity to work.
I volunteered in Zimbabwe teaching in rural schools and doing advocacy projects with the students! Outside of work, I have a fun little talent – I can wiggle my ears!
