Nivedita Vaidya

Occupational Therapist
What do you enjoy most about being an Occupational Therapist?

It is a rewarding career that allows me to work with people throughout their lifetime, combining creativity, client-centred care, and the opportunity to make a direct, tangible difference – helping them pursue what they love.

Can you tell us a little about your background and experience?

I have been an OT for 23 years and worked in a variety of settings such as paediatrics, acute musculoskeletal, community based and disability. I have completed additional postgraduate qualifications in Sensory Integration, DIR Floortime approach, Handwriting without Tears, Understanding Autism, Trauma Informed Practice and am a certified practitioner for Therapeutic Listening. I have been a clinical educator for many years and also work as an academic casual for USYD and ACU.
