As a Youth Workplace Consultant, you’ll support young people with disability to build employment skills, gain experience, and move into sustainable work. You’ll work closely with families, schools, employers, and coordinators to create personalised job pathways, deliver pre-employment training, support placements, and ensure progress aligns with NDIS funding like SLES or FAKJ.

The coordinator ensures services are high quality and meet Omnia Inclusive policies, NDIS Practice Standards, and National Disability Service Standards. This role involves developing and delivering group and individual programs for young NDIS participants, working closely with families and professionals, managing logistics like staffing and budgeting, monitoring outcomes, and leading a small team to create inclusive spaces that build confidence, life skills, and social connections.

Career Consultants work closely with Business Relationship Consultants and Workplace Consultants to optimise employment opportunities, ensuring participants have the right skills, experience, and fit for the role, while the employer provides a supportive environment focused on their success. In this role, you’ll conduct one-on-one consultations to assess career needs and goals, develop personalised career plans, and provide guidance on job search strategies, resume writing, interview preparation, and networking. You’ll also assist participants in identifying job opportunities that match their skills, support them in overcoming barriers to employment or advancement, and monitor progress towards career goals, all while staying up-to-date on industry trends and labour market information.
