Lochy first joined Omnia Inclusive in 2018, just after finishing school. Quiet, thoughtful, and committed, he entered our NDIS Employment program in the Lower Hunter with a clear goal: to build social skills, confidence and secure employment.
At first, Lochy kept to himself—but it wasn’t long before his confidence began to grow. Supported by his strong family network, and guided by the Omnia Inclusive NDIS team, Lochy started to come into his own. His social skills flourished, his independence grew, and his quiet determination began to shine.
Lochy’s journey through our NDIS programs has been one of steady progress and impressive outcomes. He started in our group program, gaining foundational skills, then moved into one-on-one support to focus on personal goals. Through hands-on experiences – including work experience placement at Target and barista/customer service training – Lochy explored his interests and discovered what he was capable of. Lochy shares
As he transitioned into our Disability Employment Services (DES) program, Lochy turned his focus to further education and meaningful employment. Supported by his Omnia Inclusive DES team he sucessfulfly completed his Certificate IV in Gaming Development and Animation at TAFE – a significant achievement that showed just how far his skills and confidence had come.
When Lochy said he wanted to work at his local Woolworths in Mayfield, his Omnia Inclusive team got to work. The team connected with the store manager to arrange a 15-hour work experience placement. Lochy showed up ready to give his best- and so did the Woolworths team. Their support was fantastic, and by the end of his placement, Lochy was offered a part-time role – one of his proudest achievements so far.

Now, over six months into the job, Lochy is thriving. He’s not only found paid employment – he’s found purpose, pride, and independence. From managing his own finances to forming new friendships, Lochy is embracing life with growing confidence. Omnia Inclusive’s Workplace Consultant, Jamie shares
He’s proud of everything he’s achieved so far – from building skills and gaining qualifications to securing and keeping a job he truly enjoys. And he’s not stopping there. His next goals? To increase his work hours, boost his financial independence, and keep travelling – especially to his favourite event of the year: Comic-Con.
We can’t wait to see what the future holds for him.
